Overview
A Master Plan is a long-term, comprehensive policy document that outlines a community's vision for growth and development. It guides land use, transportation, housing, infrastructure, parks, and environmental sustainability over a 10-year period. Developed with public input, the Master Plan is updated and approved by the Planning Board at least once every 10 years. Specifically, the Master Plan is the document that is referred to when making decisions on updates to the Zoning Ordinance. This plan helps town officials make informed decisions and coordinate future investments to ensure orderly and sustainable development that aligns with the community’s goals.
