The Town of New Hampton is located in Belknap County; at 43° 36' 20" N and 71° 39' 17" W; at an approximate elevation of 531 feet [SourceGSP].
We are virtually in the geographic center of the State of New Hampshire at Exit 23 of Interstate 93, which intersects with NH Route 104. We are approximately 2 hours north of Boston, 45 minutes north of Manchester, 35 minutes north of Concord and 30 minutes south of Franconia Notch and the White Mountains.
Route 104 accesses points east and west in the Lakes Region; east to Lake Winnipesaukee (15 minutes) and west to crystal-clear Newfound Lake (10 minutes).
New Hampton also has several lakes and ponds within its boundaries:

The Pemigewasset River forms the west boundary of New Hampton with Hill, Bristol and Bridgewater, and the Ayer's Island electric generating facility is located in town as well.
The New Hampton Community School is a highly regarded elementary school serving approximately 170 students and their families.
New Hampton is a member of the Newfound Area School District. New Hampton students grades 6-8 attend Newfound Memorial Middle School and grades 9-12 attend the Newfound Regional High School.
